Clare FM interviewed Eddie from imecofarm, asking what
the whole place was about, between visitors and courses here. July 30
Summer 2011:
The eco farm has plenty to do for all ages. The farm has a map
to follow, with treasure hunts, pet farm animals, play areas,
forest trails, river walks, badger sett, wildlife ponds,
butterfly catching, kite flying, allotments, and lots more to
see and do. This is a great visitor attraction near Ennis, and
caters for a family fun day out, children parties clare,
renewable energy courses and displays.
Opening
for Easter , School tours.. New for 2011 - Butterfly Tunnel, Veg Plots,
Huge Play Areas, Karts, Zip Wires, Lots farm Animals..
Spring
2011 - New Wheelchair/ Buggy friendly forest trail being made..
Winter
Courses busy and build your own wind turbine on Jan 28th almost full.

Grants
available for new business ideas.. CLDC help with funding for a new
wheelchair access trail for steep part of hill.. This trail will allow
the high and low sections of imecofarm, be linked with ease.

displays and trails being worked on for 2011..
Special
wildlife and nature pond being added for 2011 , with a wind pump
providing fresh water..

Eco 101
craft section being developed, and is a very exciting part of the indoor
centre.
LIT
lecturers on Renewable Energy join one of imecofarms wind turbine
courses, to understand the whole concept of building an actual turbine
in great detail.
Seed
savers book imecofarm for courses on renewable energy, and show great
support to the new eco centre.
The
Organic Centre in Leitrim, show support for imecofarm and give good
advice on tours and visitors.
